Rooted in truth, guided by love, committed to liberation.
A creative space for experimentation at the intersection of love, freedom, and justice. Here, I share writings, teachings, and offerings that invite us to tell the truth, reclaim narratives, and practice liberation, individually and collectively. More than just promotion, this is about using my privileges for a purpose so much bigger than me.
I didn’t choose entrepreneurship. It chose me. I didn't start out to build a business; I just want to build a better world, and to do it with other changemakers who want the same. And YES! I should be compensated for my gifts because my wisdom is worthy. After more than two decades in public health, I found myself consistently undervalued and overpoliced, underpaid and overlooked. I left two jobs back-to-back, reluctantly, each resignation a radical act of self-love and choice to honor my wholeness.
Throughout my career, my awareness and authenticity were often treated as threats rather than strengths. I speak truth to power with conviction and refuse to assimilate to be polite. Because I didn’t fit neatly into a box, curiosity was replaced with caution, and hierarchy was chosen over humanity. While these experiences limited promotions, titles, and upward mobility, they never stunted my growth. Instead, they solidified how I want to lead and show up for myself and for others, authentically and unapologetically.
As my 25-year career of purpose addressing Black health disparities has been destabilized by attacks on equity work and federal funding cuts, I’ve been called to expand and experiment. I am an alchemist and a transformer, carrying skills and knowledge desperately needed in Public Health and beyond.
The Love & Liberation Lab is manifestation of a long-held desire pushed aside out of guilt for pursuing passion projects that didn’t immediately generate income. It is an extension of my learning, growth, healing, and continuous path of freedom and justice.
I am a pro-Black humanitarian, racial and health equity/justice strategist, transformation coach, and facilitator. I lead with love, joy, and diligent disruption guided by the wisdom of Black women who have always had the strength and strategies to transform systems by persistently naming what others ignore or simply refuse to see.
In this moment of uncertainty, I'm tuning out distracting noise and tapping into my deep knowing. Others backed down, but I'm building up. This is another chapter on my journey. Your wholeness is welcome here!
Without LOVE,
there's no
(R)EVOLUTION.
Meet Jannah!
